Idiot light reset tool 850 97

Recent research about the way to reset the chk engine lite on my '97 850

has me confused. I could reset the chk engine light with out any special

tools on my '95 850. I have heard that now a tool is required reset the light on my '97 850. I am interested in knowing the name and ~ price of this tool.
