Re: Power Window Auto Down 850 1997

I have the same problem with my drivers side window. It autos down fine, but often fails when I try to advance it up. I found the same thing you did when I removed the console. I got to the module and was amazed to see that the module\window switch was not user friendly to replace. I would like to add some thing though. It seems if I put more pressure directed towards the top left on the button it works more often. Also, I can hear an engagement of some sort from inside the door but, the window

does not always come up. It is not very consistent. Sometimes the window rolls up fine but, mostly it fails. I have to press the button maybe once, maybe twice, maybe 10 times before the window rolls up. I also removed the door pnael to see if one of the connections was loose or whatever I could see that was obvious. No luck. Put it all back together and it still fails.

My car still has the pre-select warrenty. The first time I mentioned the window failure the dealership proceded to say that they saw nothing obvious and lubed the window. I am going to take it to another dealer and have them evaluate it since its a mistery to me.

Sorry, I did not have a solution. Just wanted to say that your not alone and add that I can hear something from inside the door panel.
