2008 S80 T6 Multiple dash warning lights on S80

I would also be surprised that the voltage regulator/brushes would be bad. Check the wiring from the alternator to the + battery post.

You could verify the alternator voltage by putting the plus terminal of the multimeter on the large bolt in the back of the alternator and grounding the other lead.

Removing the black plastic rear cover on the alternator will expost the regulator. Much easier to change out than the entire alternator.
