Not sure about the cover, but Volvo sells a flexible fabric-type protector that has worked well for us -- our bumper is subjected to frequent dog toenails, and the cover has totally protected it. It came with prefitted straps that you use to secure it to the rear anchors. It flips into the cargo area or can be detached and stowed away inside the storage compartment if you're a neatnik.
