Long start time when warmed up V70-XC70 2000

I've heard of others with this problem, long crank times to get the car started. Seems to only happen when the car is warmed up but has sat for a while. The work around is to turn the ignition on, listen for the fuel pump to turn on and the turn off (pressure is built up in the fuel rail) and then start the engine after this.

From reading other posts, I believe it is either the fuel pressure regulator and/or the fuel pump itself. At 14 years old and 140K, both parts are still original the car so they may be due for replacement.

I believe the fuel pump can be accessed from top of the tank by removing interior pieces from the back of the wagon which makes it easy to replace. Not sure about the ever moving FPR? I still can't find it. Anyone know where it is on a 2000 V70 XC and if it is easy to get to?

These parts are both around $400 from the dealer. Is it better to go with the OEM parts here or are the generic Bosch replacements just as good?
