AM Radio Problem XC90 2008

Finally trying to get going on getting AM radio back. History is that all other features of my 2008 XC-90 entertainment system work but I have no AM signal. If I scan AM it just keeps scanning never picking up a signal. From other posts it seems the AM antenna and other relevant parts are located in under the hard plastic headliner panel at the extreme back of the cargo bay. The panel that includes the rear cargo bay light. I am embarrassed to say I have been struggling to get the buttons out which I presume gives access to screws in that panel so it can be dropped. Perhaps I just need a bigger hammer (HiHi). I just never had trouble popping those buttons, but these seem impossible. Questions: Am I attacking the right location (rear upper headliner panel)and any advice on those two buttons? Thanks.
