Trouble with my XC 99 Manifold removal P2

Hi, am having great trouble removing manifold from engine. I have it all the way there except for an injector rail connection - am not sure whether to remove this and how to remove as I have tried, or do I remove the unusual conical connection thing seen in the very bottom of the photographs? Also under the manifold near the power steering is a connection with three hoses to it. I think this might be what's called a 'banjo connection' I am not sure, but the hoses go in three directions, one onto that circular looping pipe thing. I do not know how best to remove that.
The car is 99 and fly by wire, without throttle cable. I would appreciate any help I can get about getting the manifold off. If anyone has done the power steering removal would be into learning it.

I dropped a socket down there and was very lucky I managed to use a Korean chopstick bent to scoop it up from between the PCV box and a bracket. It was a hard day under the hood.
