S80 T6 - Cellphone Muting S80 99

Does anybody out there know how to mute the audio in a 99 S80 T6 with the Hu-601 radio.

The cellphone engineer that looked at my car said he didn't/ couldn't / wouldn't.

I suspect he was being over cautious.
