Washer nozzle on rear wiper V70-XC70 2001

The wife's 2001 V70 has poor spray on to the rear window when using the washer.

I checked the volume of washer fluid coming out of the nozzle and it seems adequate. The story from the dealer is we need to replace the entire motor unit (approx cost $400) to fix the poor spray issue.

The plastic deflector piece is intact on the wiper arm assembly but not much of the washer fluid makes it on to the rear window.

Suggestions?
