hard to detect rear rattle

Hi, can you help me detect a light jangly rattling coming from the left side which is my driver's side. I have done all I can to find it. I have taped the brake lines under the car. It stops when I apply the brake. It seems it may go with the wheel. Wife reckons front I reckon rear. So hard to detect. I have reconditioned the brakes - removed replaced pads, open and sprayed drums and shoes, tried to wiggle the backplates ...
Would you guys have any ideas? It's like two thin cables rattling together but there aren't any doing that, not after I taped them! aaarrrggghhh!
