I don't think you should be overly concerned about the speedo error. You did not mention at what speed the error referred to. Assuming it is at 60 mph, 3.5 mph is well within the legal (North America) tolerated error of plus/minus 6 mph. I doubt if you will find anyone interested in trying to adjust it - my dealer said that there was no fix, for the 2001 models, but I would be pleased to be proven wrong so that I could have my 4 mph error (reads high) adjusted.
