Help! Center console light bulb replacement 850 1995

Anyone got any ideas on how you replace the light that illuminates the inside of the center console, and the rear ashtray. I asked same question on a previous post, and was told to just remove rear ashtray. Tried that, and it only reveals a solid piece of plastic. Oh by the way just need to gripe that I had to pay $11.05 for the tiny little bulb at the dealership. Thanks
