VERY SIMPLE - The pictures can't make it any simpler. But you really don't need them.

Lift the hood all theway up. At the top of the rear part of the engine bay, below the windshield is a black piece of plastic with a raised gasket.

Remove the for #25 torx screws holding it in place. Pull out the oval duct, install pollen filter bracket, then install pollen filter.

Dan at Volvoparts.com gave me a very low price for both. Don't know if I got the carbonized filter. Next time I will.
