You will probably need part # 9148788
It plugs into the tranny. Not cheap, but 1993-5 have the same if you have access to a pick&pull. Tasca is $10 cheaper than FCP, but Tasca charges $10 for shipping.

It is also possible that cleaning will resurect the old one, so long as the wires are intact.

That will also have an effect on tranny shifts, etc.
