Odd.. The limiter should really be at 6500..

Yup. The factory rev-limiter is pretty rude :-)

No problems there. Just do all movement nice and smooth and it will work just fine.

When braking hard at those speeds (I had to go fully into ABS once when a truck pulled over right in front of me) it's stable too, but you have to remember that the extreme pressure on the front wheels will make the steering extremely sensitive and direct and the rear will do pretty 'light' (most cars do that), so try to keep it straight and smooth.
