Mod to increase boost on 850 turbo 850 1996

I hope it's ok to post this question in both the aftermarket/mod and the 850 forums. I wasn't sure which one it went in so I'm putting it in both.

Is there a way to increase boost on an 850 turbo without buying a booster? If so, how?

I've read through he archives and it looks like this topic has come up, but the remaining threads don't describe the process well enough.
