Replaced rear brakes w/ only 11000 miles S80 1999

You all may have remembered me whining about a month ago about my car shuddering when braking, after I had let it sit for a week, and it built up a lot of rust on my brakes. (In all fairness, the problem was present before, just noticably worse after that week.)

Well, the problem got no better, and they replaced the rear rotors and pads yesterday, stating that the rotors were "warped." So that's 10 months, and 11000 miles on them. Hardly seems like a reasonable thing, but there is no warranty recourse to point at. Apparently, pads and rotors, being "wear" items, have exactly no warranty at all. Calipers have a 12000mile/12month warranty, but of course, not my situation. And at $217, there isn't enough incentive to try to get Volvo to cover that. But at least it solved the problem, and I have nice, smooth brakes.

Just sharing information...

P.S. They flushed the transmission too, and I was surprised, but the car goes faster and more consistently now. Before, it was giving a burst of power and then back off, accelerating as slow as a 2.9 non-turbo, but now it will go to 80 MPH quickly and repeatably.
