NO THEY ARE ALL WRONG!!!! I replaced belts and pulleys and tensioners up the ying-yang!!! Yet the source of that wretched noise was the oil pump and I had it replaced. It was around $500 but was totally worth it as that sound has NEVER returned. My local volvo dealer said that the same problem was diagnosed on another 850 turbo wagon in my town. SPREAD THE WORD!!!!
