Motor mount failure after 1 year

It was me who installed this mount, yet the only thing I wonder is if the outer circle is not fully flush - it's about 1mm out of the circle wall on the flange part passenger side. Yet I did install it firmly into position by tapping around the outer circle edge into place. And it seems fine on the driver side as can see in photo. About 12 taps in total to fit it.
Can anyone recommend why this happened and also whether there is a better mount for next time. I had thought this was oem, maybe I was mistaken. Will look for the part I used a bit later.
