Alan,

I and other brickers had this similar experience before. It turned out to be the ground connection. The typical symptom would be doors unlock itself and radio reset itself. You need to enter the radio security code to have your radio back. If that was your case, check the "large" ground connection right in front of the battery. It is a long piece of metal with "teeth". I am not sure whether that ground is the same in V70, at least that was the shape in my 855.

Unscrew the ground connector and clean it up with electrical cleaner.
