Re: Waxing Problems 850 97-T5



The problem might have been the application. Did you thoroughly clean the paint prior to waxing? Like Steve said, use strong blue Dawn to get rid of previous layers. Then clay bar your car if there are embedded contaminants, sap, etc. As for wax recommendations, everyone has their own opinions. The Pinnacle line is very good. Blitz is another good (longer lasting) wax that will only set you back $15. If you want to go to the local store, NuFinish ($7) is actually a very good wax in that price range. Make sure you apply and remove ONLY on a cool surface, and out of the sunlight. Hot or warm panels often cause the streaking you mentioned. Good luck.
