New to me 2007 V70 V70-XC70 2007

Hello BB'ers.

The Missus and I purchased an 83K V70 last week from a local dealer and I've begun to work on it but have a few questions I hope I can find answers for. The car had been dealer serviced. We also have a 99 V70 so I've seen some of the white block innards.

Service records: When I asked for service records they spewed out the carfax which I already had. However the carfax only indicates a few of the itemized services and most frequently notes "recommended services performed". Does the dealer have the detailed service records and is reluctant to give them to me? I should note the cabin filter looked like it hadn't been changed in 50K miles and I noticed brand new front pads and rotors that didn't show on the carfax.

Front stabilizer bar and upper motor mount: Before we bought the car, I had them put the car up on a lift and as best I could, I checked it out and found a tie rod that needed replacement (which they did along with an alignment). But I also questioned the looseness of the front stabilizer bar (my 99 doesn't have one) and the square front motor mount which was very sloppy in it's square bracket. When I questioned the service guy, he said that was the way it should be. Wrt the front stabilizer bar, you can with moderate force wiggle it front to back some (I'm guessing) 45 degrees. I'm a little suspicious of his response. What do you think? I don't notice vibration in the car under ordinary speeds, so maybe he's right.

VIDA/DiCE: Is there a VIDA for dummies. I don't want to bring the car to the dealer if I don't have to. What do most of you do?
