I have no idea if you can replace the bulbs(?). The dealer just said it had to be replaced and since it was covered I saw no reason to complain. If you are out of warrenty you might consider taking a look inside the radio. Just be really careful, lord knows how they put it together. Since they just rebuild the radios when they are pulled I suspect that the bulbs(?) can be replaced. Good Luck.
