Can I mix GDI injector types? S40-V40

My 53-plate 1.8i V40 has type A GDI fuel injectors (part E7T05071). One needs replacing. They're £288 new so I've gone second hand for £41. The supplier has sent a type C. The independent garage asked Volvo if it's OK to mix them and they said no, the flow rates are different. The Volvo specialist parts supplier has sold them for years and has never had anybody say this before. They checked with Volvo and were told all E7T05071 types A, B and C are interchangeable. I can't get any answers out of Volvo technical support because I'm a customer, not a garage. I've written to Mitsubishi to ask the flow rates of the A and C types, but no answer yet.

Anybody here know?
