ball joint clamp bolt 850

I was seeing if replacing my ball joints was something I could do myself.....i watched the FCP video and it shows the mechanic taking the ball joint clamp nut off with an impact driver and then just tapping the bolt out. I got the nut off no problem, but the bolt absolutely wont budge......i'm thinking tightening the clamp last time warped the bolt and it's now impossible to drive out. Forums say to heat the clamp, but because of all the grease I think the car would would start on fire......anyone had this happen? These are obviously not Volvo hardened bolts......will be using them next time.......
