Interior loses all power but car still runs when hot V70-XC70 2004

Hello,

This has happened 3-4 times now within the last year: I will be driving in hot temps (90-105F) with the A/C running, in heavy traffic. After about 30 minutes all interior instruments/controls will lose power and go dead except for the fan (blower), but the car will continue to run.

The car is a 2004 XC70, I've read online that a CPU in a control module overheats and aftermarket service puts a heatsink on it. Does anyone have steps on how to do this? Apparently the control module is above the driver's left foot.

Thanks!
