XC90 Parking brake sticking switch? XC90

Hi
Could not seem to find anything on this site about this.

When I release the parking brake, the dashboard warning light comes on and the warning buzzer sometimes sounds even though the brake itself is off.
Sometimes happens when I go round a corner.
If I tap on the foot operated parking brake lever in the footwell, the light goes off and the buzzer stops.

I think it may be the switch that is sticking.

Is the switch next to the foot operated parking brake lever? If so, please can somebody tell me how I remove the carpet panel to access the switch? I don't want to brake off the carpet panel clips.

Thanks for any advice on resolving this annoying problem.

Regards
Pete
