Window won't go up without assistance C70 2004

My driver's side window in my 2004 c70 convertible has been going up a little irregularly for awhile. And it seems to hit bottom with a thud. A few years back I took it apart and was able to take some slack out of the cable which helped. All rollers/pulleys appeared fine at the time. This time the window actually will stop part way up unless you help by pulling up. I again took the door apart. The cable is very lose. All corner roller/pulley pieces appear to be in one piece and the cable is on the pulleys. But I cant seem to find any way to take up the slack in the cable. Is there a way to take up slack? Is the cable wound wrong inside the motor and binding? The car has 57K miles. Any ideas? Thanks.
