Ok, Who stole my brake fluid? V70-XC70

2000 V70 X/C awd cross country, 230,000
I have just ordered and received parts to the whole timing belt/water pump deal and all new struts and related front mounts etc. and was going to start maybe this weekend.
....then I started the car today to move it and the brake pedal went to the floor. So, check the MC and no fluid, (very little), .....look under the car - no leaks, everywhere else - no leaks.
So questions:
A). Do these cars have a habit of blowing out their rear MC seal and draining the fluid into the booster?
B). If I replace the MC and drain the booster, (or replace that too) do I just bled the system like normal? I have never bled an ABS system, is it a pita?
Thanks,
Chris
