Same thing. Has done it since the car was new. If I open my sunroof "all" the way I get the buffeting. If I only open the roof to the "stop" it isn't so bad. Opening the rear windows helps, too, but 80 mph on the Jersey Turnpike with windows and roof open isn't supposed to be pleasant anyway. I usually just close the roof at highway speeds. The buffeting is no worse than my old convertible in any case.

I think the phenomenon is touched on in the owner's manual.

The wagon's acoustics are comparable to a big drum. Volvo is aware. Note that 245 wagons never had factory sunroofs.
