V70 Replacement Tailgate V70-XC70 1998

My poor car ended up with a bent tailgate and no glass following an altercation in a carpark with another car !

I got an 850 tailgate from the local scrap yard which should be a part replacement (just different brake light position) and with much cursing and swearing got the old door off.

Getting the new door on though, this is not going well.

Has anyone done this and can share some tips ?
