1998 V70 Rear Trailing Arm link question V70-XC70 1998

Sages,

How much play is too much???

The car is a 1998, V70, with 170K on it.

I was under car today and took a crow bar along in hopes of finding the "noise" in my rear end.

The Rear Trailing Arm Link on both sides had about a 1/4" Play up and down. I couldn't really get any side to side, so what do you all say?

The Rear Trailing Arm Bushing had very little to no play in them. Maybe an 1/8" of an inch if that I think. This is up/down and side to side.

So what do you all say out there??? Replace, keep an eye on it, or just let it go?

Thanks,

Matt
