Screeching source found 850 1995

Wife's '95 855T was in need of a water pump and was due for a T-belt in spring so I got the kit from FCP. Pump, T and Serp belt, T belt idler and tensioner idler & tensioner.

I thought the pump was squealing but it was the tensioner idler pulley bearing. I haven't taken it apart yet but if shaken the balls and cage can be heard rattling around. The pump was seeping and did need replacement after 216,000 miles. (As did everything else!) The stationary idler's bearing was getting rough too.

Now all it needs is a transmission, which is going it today, and we can return the rental Mazda before wife becomes too attached to it.
