Replace blower motor V70-XC70

Code reader will not normally show ECC codes. I suspect that the resistor is gone. You also will need to check the fuse, just in case.

Replacing the blower is a good move as it is quite old and requires the same access as the resistor.

Along with a T25, you will need a pick to get the glovebox hinges uncoupled. And a 3/8 ratchet with a socket to get the knee brace off - 13 or 15mm.

Do not over tighten the glove box screws when putting it back on!

You do not need to disconnect the battery. The ECC stores codes in its own memory and cannot be erased by lack of electricity - don't ask me how they do that!
