Rear Axle Shafts and hubs on 2004 XC-70 V70-XC70

Looks like the rear bearing hubs on my 2004 XC-70 with 206,000 miles are going. At least one of them is getting rather loud! I have the new hubs, and figure while in the neighborhood, I should also replace the axle shafts. Looking at AlldataDIY, it looks like the hub replacement is not too difficult. Just need to jack up the suspension a bit to gain access to all the hub bolts. I am assuming the axle shaft will just pop out of the rear differential/Halldex (spelling?) unit similar to the way the drivers front axle pops out of the transmission with a little pry bar. AlldataDIY does not show anything on replacing the rear shafts. Sticking my head under the rear of the car, I guess one of the challenges will be finding a good place to stick the pry bar.

If anyone can offer up suggestions, tricks, look out for...., or whatever; I would appreciate it. I have taken on many repair tasks without difficulty. Just need to get this done quickly this weekend since we are heading out of town for turkey day, and I need to do this in my cold driveway since I don't have garage.

Enjoy!
