Sudden electrical failure - Bad headlight switch? 850 1995

850s had a recall on their headlight switches.

Unfortunately, it happened after I replaced mine.

Does the switch feel funny at all?

After I replaced my switch, I could see that two slots in its case had broken allowing the switch to come apart a bit.

I was actually able to fix it with some electrical tape.

To remove the switch, you gently pry on one side and pull it out.

I forget which side, but one side has a bit of a hook on it and that side cannot be pried out - if it does not come out pretty easily, try the other side. That's what I did.
