You can reset the light anytime you like. Here is the procedure:

- Turn key ot position 1

- push and hold down the trip reset button

- turn key to next position, without starting the car

- continue to hold the trip reset down until the light starts to flash

- after 2-3 flashes, release the button

- turn the key off

- wait 10-15 seconds, then restart the car.

The light should now be off.
