FM radio only works sometimes! 850 93

I have the original factory radio, AM/FM cassette version of the Volvo radio in my car. Every so often (more and more often!), while listening to the FM band, it stops working - silence only - until I bang on the right side of the console (under the passenger side of the dash). Then it returns! AM works fine, I think, but I don't listen to AM often enough to know. Sure am getting tired of banging on the console, though, and it catches passengers off guard! Is this a loose connection? Any ideas on where I should be looking? Thanks!
