Noise from timing belt area, when starting on cold days S70 1998

Searched forum, but not finding my symptoms ...
It's not serpentine belt/pulleys, as I removed serpentine, and noise is still there, coming from timing belt area. It's a cyclic noise, almost like chaffing, at a frequency of 80 chirps per minute at 900 rpm idle. Only happens when starting on cold days, and mostly goes away once engine is warmed up. I replaced timing belt, tensioner, water pump, and idlers 25000 miles (2 years) ago, and all was fine last winter and this past summer - no noise.
Anyone with similar symptoms have ideas where noise may be coming from?
Thanks in advance ...
