S70 A/C Trouble!!!!!! S70 1998

HELP!!! I have a '98 S70 with 60K miles. I purchased it 5 months ago at 45K. Really didn't use the A/C over the winter, but this spring when it got hot, turned it on.. No A/C. Company I bought it from says they find nothing mechanical wrong, just that the freon leaked out, the charged it and dye tested it and say I'm good to go. $100 later (only A/C hardware NOT freon service is included in the warranty I bought with the car). They tell me that the "O RINGS" dry out when not in use and the freon will leak out. Anyone know if this is posssible? I have never heard of anything like that myself. Anyone who owns or works on S70/V70 (or 850) that has any info supporting or contradicting what they told me PLEASE email me, it would help a great deal.

Thank you
