Poor idle... 850

Just got back from the shop. Mechanic cleaned all the carbon out of the idle air controller and that solved the problem. Part has 500,000 + miles on it and has not been touched. He also said my idler pulley is near seizing and that is the whine I hear. He said that can affect idle also. He said around 200.00 to replace the pulley and he is replacing the ect as well. About 300.00 total. You can get like new idle air controllers on eBay for around 50.00...thanks to all who replied.
