Re: Why a LPT? C70 2000

I drove an '01 HPT convertable, and was totally underwhelmed by the power.

This is coming off a S70 LPT daily driver.

I really expected more power, and maybe it would have been apparent

from 80 on up, but most of my driving is below 60.

To me the most important thing is getting away from the light

quicker than the rice rocket or occasional Mustang!

A couple of turns on the wastegate was about right, since the power just matched the available dry traction.

A chipped '98 LPT would be the quickest thing around in the below 60 mph

range. Would need sticker tires tho!
