Looking at 1999 V70 XC V70-XC70

I have been presented with the opportunity to purchase a 1999 V70 XC. I just heard about this car from a friend of mine - it's her mother's car, and because the mother is getting up in years they've decided it's time to move on.

The mother isn't the original owner but she purchased it as a former demo in 2000 when it only had 10k miles on it. She's had it since and I believe it has all of 98k miles now, but she hasn't driven it much recently. All service has been at the local dealer.

Though I have owned many Volvos this would be my first AWD car, and an early one to boot. Do you have any advice and/or tips about the XC that I should know about, particularly if I do buy it? Thanks.
