Very cold out, no start, noise from rear end. Frozen gas line? 850 1995

It's around -24C today so I went to go warm up the car. The engine was very hesitant to turn over and I'm hearing a clicking sound from the rear of the car. Also, I'm getting an odd smell from under the hood.
The battery seems good as it's relatively new and all the lights, and other electricals are working.
Are the gas lines possibly frozen causing pump to make the clicking sound?
Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
