Head Gasket Slots

Hi, I am a little confused.
I searched a B5244T3 engine head to check compatibility with my B5254T engine head with an eye to replace. IPD USA list a gasket for the B5254T which is the same as a B5244T3 has. That is good. I also bought a set from FCP for my B5254T which contains the gasket with fewer slots.
However, Swedish Parts site has extra slots in their B5254T gasket select. Another site also has the gaskets with two or three extra slots in it for the B5254T. On my actual car block are extra slots.
Am I going to encounter problems if I use the one with fewer slots on my B5254T block? Also, what is going on?
