Opinions on V70-XC70 V70-XC70

My son is looking at these wagons between 2003 and 2007, anywhere from 110k at low mileage to 180k at max. Couple are Turbo. One's an R.
I drove 740s and 940s for 28 years and he has a 240 which he won't get rid of, wants to restore, but he needs something newer as a second car. I'd like some opinions or alerts of things to look for in the used ones as I'm not good with the more modern Volvos. I still miss my old ones. Thanks for any input.
