Tailgate rattle V70-XC70 2009

My 09 XC 70 has a tailgate rattle. It does not sound like the rattle of my 98 V 70 for which I bought the tailgate panel kit and replaced all of the fasteners. It is a tinny light rattle; almost like a heat shield on a VW GTI just much softer.

I did read the post about torx screws and the striker plate; however, the newfangled contraption has two rubber fenders at the base and a little button at the bottom of the \_/ shaped locking piece on the tailgate. Probably a sensor. I do not think anything in the tailgate should be loose since it has an electric close and therefore is never slammed.

I have ridden in the back seat as we travelled over Michigan's roads and leaned back and palpitated all of the plastic trim in the cargo bay. It sounds like it is coming from the tailgate behind all of the carpeting.

Is there an incense I can burn to heal it? Or does it involve the burning of dollars with my independent Volvo guru? He has just recently expanded to a polished concrete floor multi lift operation so I would like to do the repair myself. But then this car uses To TAL, as the French say, synthetic. As the Germans say, I must be to TAL messhuga.

Please excuse my sarcasm, I expected the new car karma to last more than 7 years on a 15 year car.
