Wife`s XC70 has had the "Brake Failure" message for awhile so finally pulled the BCM & sent it off to Xemodex. Received a call from Xemodex that the BCM was fine but code 0103 was showing up. Apparently, Pedal Position Sensor failure is quite common so another $202 later, the dash lights no longer light up.
Probably should have the codes read before shipping the BCM off to Xemodex but we don`t don`t really trust the local dealership. They likely would have replaced the BCM & then, replaced the PPS.
Oh well, the final bill still came in well under what the dealer would have charged us.
