Recharge A/C V70-XC70 2009

Wanted to add some freon to the system .
Went to Auto zone bought the freon with the gauge
Where is the suction line located .
All I see is the discharge port on top with the 6M cover.
I never heard of adding freon to the discharge line, but if that is the case
where can I get an adapter
