IMM-321 Initiation Signal from Engine Control Module missing

Hi,
I have the fault code now (IMM-321) which may be my starting and running problem, which is whining cranking electric sound on ignition and very rich running then splutter and die. Or, the code could have been just received into dice vida due to cranking a few times with no ignition of fuel, as it wasn't on my laptop screen straight away in the generic codes that came up.
I have read that possible fix to this error may be some cleaning of contacts of ecm and immobiliser. Is the ecm the part within the black box, and requires a special tool to get it out? If so any way to clean the connectors and wiring there? Also, is the immobiliser in the ignition switch?
